Christopher Battalino

Christopher Battalino (born February 18, 1908 in Hartford , USA , † July 15, 1977 in Hartford , USA) was an American featherweight boxer of Italian descent .

professional

He won his first two professional fights in 1927 by classic knockout. On September 23, 1929, he defeated the French Andre Routi over 15 rounds by unanimous decision, thereby winning both the NYSAC and the NBA world championships . He wore both belts until January 27, 1932.

In 2003 Battalino was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame .
