Christopher Anthony Colin MacAndrew, 3rd Baron MacAndrew (born February 16, 1945 ) is a British peer and politician of the Conservative Party .

life and career

MacAndrew was born on February 16, 1945 to Colin MacAndrew, 2nd Baron MacAndrew (1919–1989) and Ursula Beatrice Steel (1918–1986). He attended Malvern College .

MacAndrew was a farmer . From 1996 to 2009 he was Tax Commissioner . He mentions golf and tennis as hobbies .

The Hereditary Peerage Association he does not belong to.

Membership in the House of Lords

After his father's death in 1989, he inherited the title of Baron MacAndrew and the then associated seat in the House of Lords . He first took his seat on November 27, 1990. He took the oath on November 23, 1992.

He lost his seat through the House of Lords Act 1999 . He did not run for one of the remaining seats. He is not listed in the Register of Hereditary Peers , which are available for by-election.

family

MacAndrew married Sarah Helen Brazier on December 13, 1975, the only daughter of Lt Col Peter Hendry Brazier. Together they have a son and two daughters.
