Christopher Robin Olsen (born September 16, 1946 in Los Angeles , California ) is a retired American child actor .

life and career

Christopher Olsen was born at St. Vincent's Hospital in Los Angeles. He followed his older brother Larry Olsen (1938-2015), who played in So a Papa , among others , into the film business. Christopher's sister, Susan Olsen , who is 16 years his junior , also came to acting later and played one of the leading roles in the series Three Girls and Three Boys .

As a toddler, Olsen got his first cinema roles, which initially turned out to be very small. He was best known to a wide audience as the kidnapped son of James Stewart and Doris Day in the Hitchcock film The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956). In addition, he also appeared in other films and played the former self of the main character or the children of the main characters several times, the latter for example in Douglas Sirk's Duel in the Clouds or Nicholas Ray's A Handful of Hope . He also made some guest appearances on US television series. At the age of 14, Olsen had his last of around 35 film and television appearances.
