Christopher Völk

Christopher Völk (born September 15, 1988 in Regensburg ) is a German judoka who competes in the weight class up to 73 kg.

Völk has been participating in national and international tournaments since 2004. In 2007 he was German Junior Champion and won the bronze medal at the European Junior Championships. From 2009 onwards, he took second place every year for four years at an international tournament, in 2009 at the World Cup in Warsaw, 2010 at the World Cup in Lisbon, 2011 at the Grand Slam in Moscow and 2012 at the Grand Slam in Paris. At the 2011 European Judo Championships in Istanbul he was part of the German team that won the bronze medal in the team competition. Völk is nominated for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, but was eliminated there in the first round.

Völk starts in the Judo Bundesliga for his home club TSV Abensberg , with which he has been German team champion several times.
