The Golodnaja Guba ( Russian Голодная Губа ) is a lake in northwestern Russia . With an area of ​​186 square kilometers, it is the largest lake in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug .

The Golodnaja Guba is located 26 km north of the regional capital Naryan-Mar , between the Pechora Delta in the east and the Nenezkaya Grada moraine range ( Ненецкая гряда ) in the west. The lake is 37 kilometers long, 10.5 kilometers wide and has an average depth of 2.5 to 3 meters. The most important tributaries are the 47 kilometers long, flowing into the Golodnaya Guba from the southwest , Tanjui ( Танюй ) and the 13 kilometers long Kisselitschnaja ( Киселичная ). By flowing the extreme northeast of the lake Tundrowy crowd ( Тундровый Шар ), on the right bank of the 1,000 inhabitants Nenets settlement Nelmin Nos ( Нельмин Нос ) is located, which is Golodnaja Guba over the bay Korowinskaja Guba (some of the Petschorabucht ) with the Connected to Lake Pechora .
