Christopher Vohdin

Christopher Vohdin (* 23. September 1965 ; heimatberechtigt in Zurich ) is a Swiss politician of the SVP .

Life

Vohdin is an optician and a qualified businessman . From 1999 until its liquidation in 2015 he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vohdin Optik AG.

He joined the SVP in 1992. From 2008 to 2010 he chaired the SVP of Zurich District 3 .

Vohdin was a member of the city council (parliament) of the city of Zurich from April 6, 1994 to June 26, 2007 . From 1994 to 2001 he was a member of the Civil Rights Commission, from 2001 to 2004 a member of the Business Audit Commission. From May 5, 2004, Vohdin was a member of the municipal council office. On May 11, 2005, he became 1st Vice President of the Municipal Council. From May 3, 2006 to May 8, 2007 he held the office of mayor council president.

On February 5, 2007, he replaced the deceased Jürg Leibundgut in the Zurich Cantonal Council . He was confirmed in the cantonal elections on April 15, 2007. On November 1, 2010, he resigned from the Cantonal Council.
