The Christophersen Glacier is a 13 km long glacier on the south coast of South Georgia . It flows west to Jacobsen Bight .
The South Georgia Survey surveyed the glacier from 1951 to 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 1958 after Pedro Christophersen (1845-1930), one of the first directors of the Argentine fishing company Compañía Argentina de Pesca , founded by the Norwegian whaling entrepreneur Carl Anton Larsen in 1904 , which maintained the whaling station on Grytviken for 50 years .
