Chthonic planet

Chthonic planets form a hypothetical class of celestial bodies that are created by the disappearance of the hydrogen and helium atmosphere as well as the outer layers (hydrodynamic escape) of a gas giant . This loss of atmosphere is likely the result of an approach to a star. The remaining stone or metal core resembles a terrestrial planet in many respects , which is why the name goes back to a Greek word (Χθών; from earth , for example ), which is also used as a nickname for three mythological persons associated with Demeter . It is possible that Kepler-10c is such a planet.
