Chubuk Island ( English ; Russian Остров Чубук Ostrow Tschubuk ) is an island off the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . In the group of the Rauer Islands , it is 150 m southeast of Ranvik Island .
Scientists on a Soviet Antarctic expedition discovered, mapped and named it in 1956. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia translated the name into English in 1991.
