Cicor is a Swiss group of international companies in the electronics industry . With around 2,000 employees at ten production sites, Cicor manufactures circuit boards , hybrid circuits and printed electronics as well as Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) including microelectronic assembly and plastic injection molding.

The shares of Cicor Technologies Ltd. are traded on the SIX Swiss Exchange (CICN).

history

The current group of companies emerged from Cicorel SA, founded in Lausanne in 1966. Cicorel SA has been traded on the Swiss stock exchange since April 24, 1998. Over the years Cicorel SA became the international Cicor Group. In 2004 the company was transformed into a holding under the umbrella of Cicorel Holding SA, into which Photochemie AG and NMS SA were also incorporated; the former Cicor Printed Circuit Boards division. In 2005, with the takeover of Swisstronics Contract Manufacturing AG, Systel AG and Systronics Srl, the Electronic Manufacturing Services Division (EMS Division) was founded and Cicorel Holding AG was renamed Cicor Technologies Ltd. In 2007, with the takeover of Reinhard Microtech and RHe, the Microelectronics Division was created. In 2008, ESG Holding Pte Ltd. as an Asia division and in 2012 the sales office was opened in the USA. As of January 1, 2014, the organizational structure of the group was adjusted and the number of divisions reduced to two (Electronic Solutions and Advanced Microelectronics & Substrates). In 2016 the Bronschhofen (Switzerland) site built a new production building and in 2018 investments were made in a new building in Arad (Romania). In the first quarter of 2019, the group opened a technology center for printed electronics in Bronschhofen (Switzerland).

In substrate production and processing, Cicor distinguishes itself through the manufacture of flexible, rigid and rigid-flexible printed circuit boards as well as circuit carriers in thin and thick film technologies. As an EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) service provider with a wide range of manufacturing in circuit board assembly and box building, as well as in tool making and plastic injection molding, Cicor offers outsourcing solutions for the development and manufacture of electronic assemblies and complete devices and systems.
