The Uster Technologies AG , based in Uster ( Canton Zurich ) is an international Swiss manufacturer of electronic measuring - and quality assurance systems for the textile industry . It emerged from the Zellweger Luwa Group through a management buy-out in 2003 . Uster Technologies employs 650 people and generated sales of 101 million Swiss francs in 2009 and 192.5 million in 2012. The company was from 2007 to 2012 on the Swiss Exchange SIX Swiss Exchange listed . In 2012, Toyota Industries Corporation acquired Uster Technologies and made it an independent subsidiary.

The company offers systems and services for quality assurance, which are used in the manufacture and processing of raw textile fibers such as cotton , wool or synthetic yarns through to finished fabrics .
history
Uster Technologies AG emerged in 2003 from the takeover of the Zellweger Uster corporate division of the Zellweger Luwa Group by management and funds represented by two private equity companies . This corporate division was created in 1944 when the company, founded in 1875, entered the textile industry. In October 2007 the company went public through an IPO . Toyota Industries Corporation first joined as an investor and later took over the majority of the shares. In 2012, Uster Technologies was taken over.
