Cihan Tasdelen

Cihan Tasdelen (born June 6, 1975 ) is a former soccer player and today's German soccer coach.

Life

From 1993 to 1995 Tasdelen was a player with İstanbulspor under contract and played in the second Turkish league. After a bone tumor on his shin, he had to end his football career in 1994. His coaching career began in 1995 with the club's second team. He began studying sports, which he later continued in Göttingen and finally successfully completed at the University of Münster . In 2000 he continued his career in Germany. There he trained the U-17 and U-19 of Preußen Münster until 2016 . From 2011 to 2013 he was a scout for the Turkish national team and a junior scout for Galatasaray Istanbul .

After Horst Steffen's dismissal in 2016, Tasdelen became the interim coach of the first team. After a 7-0 cup success on October 9, 2016 against SpVgg Erkenschwick , he drew 2-2 against the team from SV Wehen Wiesbaden in his second competitive game in the 3rd division . Benno Möhlmann was his successor . Currently (as of 2019) Tasdelen is the trainer of the U-19 youth of the Preußen Münster club.
