Cili Wethekam

Cili Wethekam (* 1921 ; † 1975 , actually: Cecilia ) was a German author for children and young people .

Wethekam's books were particularly popular in the 1960s and 1970s and were still read in schools in the 1980s. In 1972 she received the Buxtehuder Bulle literary prize for her work Tignasse - Child of the Revolution . The youth book Mamie also deals with the French Revolution .
