Cilice is a Dutch progressive metal band that was formed in 2006 in Amsterdam .

history

The band was formed in 2006 after the groups Orphanage and N3uk! had dissolved. After the band had finished the first songs, they went on tour through Europe and Brazil from April 2007 . Her debut album Deranged Headtrip was released in 2009 on PMM Records . The release was followed by a three-month tour of Europe during which the band played in over 20 countries. After singer Daniël de Jongh left the band to join Textures , Bryan Ramage joined the line-up.

style

The band plays progressive metal known as "Djent". The music is described as a mix of Meshuggah and Nine Inch Nails .
