Cilvituk
Cilvituk was a Mayan site of the Postclassic in Mexico.
Similar to Tayasal , the city was built on an island, but in the Laguna de Silvituc and as early as the 10th century. It then experienced its heyday until 1525.
Politically, the area of influence of the independent city bordered in the northeast on the principality of Chan Putum , in the west on the principalities of the Contal and in the south on the Acalán Maya with its capital Itzamkanac . Today the archaeological site is in the state of Campeche .
Various architectural structures were found during excavations. The center is dominated by a platform on which buildings were built.
