The Cimic Group (formerly Leighton Holdings ) is a listed Australian construction company headquartered in Sydney .

The company was founded in 1949 by Stanley Leighton.

Around 70 percent of the Cimic Group is held by the German company Hochtief and has therefore also been part of the Spanish Grupo ACS since 2011 .

Leighton Holdings has been operating as the Cimic Group since April 2015. This change of name had become necessary due to damage to the company's image following a corruption scandal. The new name stands for C onstruction, I nfrastructure, Mi ning and C once sions.

CIMIC holds a 45% stake in the Habtoor Leighton Group , which operates predominantly in the Persian Gulf.
