The Cincinnati Kings are an American football team from Cincinnati ( Ohio ). The club was founded in 2005 and plays in the USL Premier Development League , the fourth highest division in North American football.
The Kings belong to Yacoub Abdallahi , a North African entrepreneur who graduated from Northern Kentucky University and also played soccer there. Abdallahi announced that the club was losing money, but that the area needed a football club.
The Kings played from 2005 to 2007 in the USL Second Division professional league and retired to the USL Premier Development League for the 2008 season in the amateur area. The club reached the play-offs for the only time in 2006 and failed there in the semifinals at the Richmond Kickers .
