The Cineworld Erlebniskino is the first multiplex cinema in Mainfranken with over 2400 seats in eight cinema halls.

history

Cineworld was opened in 1999 by the Würzburg cinema operators Lothar Michel and Rolf Schleußner († 2005) in Mainfrankenpark near the Biebelried motorway junction . The cinema covers an area of ​​7000 m² and includes 2000 free parking spaces, eight cinema halls of various sizes (179 to 473 seats) and a restaurant, the Oskars . It has been a member of the Cineplex group since 2004 . With a visitor number of around 950,000 per year, it has established itself among the top 10 cinemas in Germany.

All cinema halls have arena-shaped, steeply rising rows of seats, comfort armchairs and "love seats". Cup holder on each armchair. In addition, all halls (with the exception of Hall 2) are handicapped accessible, and Hall 3 is also equipped with induction loops for the hearing impaired.

  • All common 35 mm film formats (normal 1: 1.66, wide screen 1: 1.85 and Cinemascope 1: 2.35) can be shown in the Cineworld Mainfranken.
  • The projectors are equipped with xenon high-performance lamps with an output between 2,000 and 4,000 watts for razor-sharp image reproduction.
  • The cinema halls 3 and 6 and the foyer are equipped with a state-of-the-art laser show system.
  • Since September 2005, cinema 6 has also been equipped with a digital cinema projector.

  • Sneak preview: Every Wednesday a surprise film is shown before the national start
