Ciranda

The ciranda is a round dance of Brazilian music that was originally played primarily for children. The dancers hold hands and dance in a circle. The musical accompaniment is the Baião , which is played on a zabumba , the pandeiro and a Ganzá , with flutes or clarinets playing . The Ciranda is particularly widespread in northeastern Brazil.
