Finvesto ( spelled in lower case, formerly Cominvest ) is an offer for investors with a focus on investment funds and a brand of the European Bank for Financial Services (Ebase). The Ebase credit institute , based in Aschheim near Munich, is a subsidiary of the British FNZ Group . Finvesto offers various services in the area of asset investment with investment funds and ETFs . The story goes back to ADIG Allgemeine Deutsche Investment-Gesellschaft, founded in 1949 .

history

In 1950 ADIG Allgemeine Deutsche Investment-Gesellschaft launched the first German equity fund, Fondak, and the first German bond fund Adirenta was added at the end of the 1960s. By the 1980s at the latest, long-term investment themes became increasingly important. Against this background, ADIG made it possible for private investors to have direct contact via a newly created customer advisory service.

In 1999, ADIG was completely taken over by Commerzbank. The major bank later spun off part of the company into the European Bank for Financial Services (Ebase). While the new subsidiary took over the legal administration of more than one million securities accounts, fund management and customer service initially remained with ADIG. This was later renamed the investment company Cominvest Asset Management.

In 2009 Commerzbank sold a large part of its asset management activities. In this context, Allianz Global Investors (AGI for short) took over Cominvest Asset Management. In 2011, the original ADIG / Cominvest customer advisory service was spun off from AGI. Ebase took over this area and continued to operate it under the original name Cominvest. In 2016, the new owners changed the name of the platform from Cominvest to Finvesto. The aim was to focus the offer more clearly on end customers and to continue to position it as a reliable partner for investment in this target group. In addition, they wanted to give more space to sustainable investments and the topic of digitization.

product

The European Bank for Financial Services (Ebase) positions itself as a B2B - direct banking and financial services provider for digital solutions. Customers include banks, insurance companies, asset managers and others. Finvesto is a separate "fund marketplace" for private and corporate customers who want to invest and manage their assets digitally. All Finvesto products are based on funds and ETFs, of which around 7,000 are currently available. Shares, bonds, certificates, leverage and contracts for difference are currently not offered.

Finvesto customers can build up assets from 10 euros, while other banks usually require higher investment amounts. A distinction is made between two main offers: With the classic "Finvesto Depot", investors can either make their own investment decisions or, optionally, take advantage of personal investment advice. If, on the other hand, you want to fully delegate the management of your portfolio and give the bank the mandate to do so, you can use the “Finvesto Managed Depot”. Investors are asked about their risk and investment preferences and are then given a suitable investment strategy.
