Cishansi grottoes
The Cishansi Grottoes or the Cishan Cave Temple ( Chinese 慈善 寺 石窟 , Pinyin Císhànsì shíkū , English Cishansi Temple / Cishansi Grottoes / Cishan Monastery ) are a Buddhist cave temple in the Linyou district of the district-free city of Baoji in the west of the Chinese province of Shaanxi . They are located on the southwest bank of the Qishui He River . The grottoes have been dug since the Sui and Tang dynasties .
The Cishansi Grottoes ( Cishansi shiku ) have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (5-467) since 2001 .
