Citizens' lobby for climate protection in Germany

In Germany, the organization is in favor of distributing income from EU emissions trading to the citizens. The EU should also increase its emissions reduction target by 2030 compared to 1990 from the current 40% to 55% and integrate the “transport” and “heating” sectors into emissions trading. For the time being, a national CO 2 tax should ensure a minimum price for CO 2 emissions until the EU emissions trading system is sufficiently ambitious to guarantee appropriate prices. The Citizens' Lobby for Climate Protection is a member of the Climate Alliance Germany .
