The City-Center Fürth is a shopping center in Fürth near the city ​​theater between Alexander-, König- and Schwabacher Straße ( pedestrian zone ). It opened in September 1985. The Geismann brewery and the malthouse of the Humbser brewery were previously located on this site .

General

The City Center Fürth was a modern shopping center on the edge of the pedestrian zone with more than sixty shops , restaurants and cafes . The daily number of visitors was around 10,000. However, the center has been largely empty for several years.

The regular events include performances by music groups , information weeks for public institutions and presentations by associations and organizations . In the 200 m² event room ETWAS LOS, artists always have the opportunity to make their works accessible to the public . The underground car park of the city center is the ABC - bunker expanded. Due to poor occupancy, the City Center had been up for sale since 2010 and was waiting for modernization and renovation.

On July 18, 2016, it was announced that the City Center had been taken over by the local P&P Group and is expected to reopen in 2019 with significantly reduced retail space.
