Clach Biorach
The Clach Biorach (also Clach Chairidh - German sharp stone - English Sharp Stone ) is a three-meter high menhir ( English Standing stone ) made of red sandstone , which in a field about 0.4 km north-west of the village Edderton in Easter Ross in Scotland is .
The menhir dates from the Bronze Age , but two symbols later engraved on the north side in the Pictish style make it a Pictish symbol stone of Class I. The symbols are a fish ( salmon ) and a double disc with a Z-rod.
The stone has a height of about 3.0 m and measures about 1.0 m by 0.5 m at the base. It tapers towards the tip, which is responsible for its name "the pointed stone". Small and medium-sized rounded stones are found around the base.
Nearby is the Edderton Cross Slab, a Class III Pictestone
