Claire Creutz

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Marie Hermine Charlotte Claire Creutz (born June 27, 1896 in Berlin ; † after 1936) was a German stage and film actress .

Live and act

Coming from a family of actors with Belgian roots, Creutz attended ballet school and received language lessons. She was first seen on stage at the age of 13: at the Kammerspiele of the German Theater. Afterwards, however, out of economic hardship, she switched to a commercial profession, but continued to be artistically active (two dance evenings in the Berlin Schwechtensaal). After all, the film offered her better earning opportunities, and Marie Creutz appeared in front of the camera for the first time in 1919. Nevertheless, she was only able to succeed there for a short time. Returning to the camera twice in 1936 had no further impact.
