Clara Aldrighi

Clara Aldrighi , full name María Clara Aldrighi Cavani , (born November 19, 1952 in Bologna , Italy ) is an essayist with Uruguayan citizenship.

Born in Italy, Aldrighi came to Uruguay in 1953. She studied at the Universidad de la República (UdelaR). There she obtained a degree in history from the FHCE . During the phase of civil-military dictatorship in Uruguay, she lived in exile in Cuba and Italy. Aldrighi teaches at the UdelaR as a professor of contemporary history and communication studies. She has published numerous articles and books.
