Clara Kristeller

Clara Kristeller (born August 11, 1867 in Dortmund ; † ??) was a German violinist.

Life

Kristeller was born as the daughter of the businessman Carl Schwartz and Wilhelmine Schoppmann. After attending a private school in Dortmund, she studied music: in the years 1881–1885 at the University of Music in Berlin, 1885–1887 at the Conservatory of Music in Cologne and 1887–1889 again in Berlin. Then she worked as a violinist.

She was married to the art historian Paul Kristeller .
