The Clariden Leu AG, headquartered in Zurich was up to its merger with Credit Suisse the fifth largest retail bank of Switzerland . The Credit Suisse subsidiary was represented at 20 locations and, at the end of 2010, managed client funds totaling 96 billion Swiss francs .

history

The private banking group Clariden Leu was created in early 2007 through the merger of Clariden Bank , Bank Leu , Bank Hofmann , BGP Banca di Gestione Patrimoniale and Credit Suisse Fides and has been operational since January 29, 2007. Most recently, Hans-Ulrich Meister was Chairman of the Board of Directors , while Hanspeter Kurzmeyer was CEO.

On November 15, 2011, the parent company Credit Suisse announced that it wanted to fully integrate Clariden Leu into Credit Suisse, which should cut costs by up to CHF 200 million annually. The legal merger was completed on April 2, 2012.
