Claston Bernard
Claston Bernard (born March 22, 1979 in Burnt Savannah , Saint Elizabeth Parish ) is a Jamaican decathlete .
At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, he gave up after the eighth discipline.
In 2002 he won the Commonwealth Games in Manchester . At the World Athletics Championships in 2003 in Paris / Saint-Denis and at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, he was ninth.
In 2005 he won the Central American and Caribbean Championships in Nassau, but had to give up at the World Championships in Helsinki .
He won two other medals at the Central American and Caribbean Championships: Bronze in Havana in 2009 and silver in Mayagüez in 2011. At the Pan American Games in Guadalajara in 2011 , he finished eighth.
He set his personal best of 8,225 points on August 24, 2004 in Athens .
