Claude Haagen (born May 18, 1962 in Diekirch ) is a Luxembourg politician of the Lëtzebuerger Sozialistesch Aarbechterpartei (LSAP) and a former handball player.

In 1982 Claude Haagen played for the Luxembourg national handball team for the first time . He played in 65 international matches for the national team and scored 29 goals.

He has been a member of the LSAP since 1993. In 1994 he was elected to the municipal council of Diekirch for the first time . From 2001 to 2005 Haagen was mayor of the city. Since 2009 he has been mayor of Diekirch again.

In 2009 he was elected as a member of the Luxembourg Parliament . In April 2014 he succeeded Alex Bodry as party leader of the LSAP. Franz Fayot was elected chairman in January 2019 .

Professionally, Haagen worked as a teacher in the Technical Lyceum in Ettelbrück.
