Claudia Dobles Camargo (born November 19, 1980 in Quesada , Alajuela ) is a Costa Rican architect and, as the wife of the incumbent President Carlos Alvarado Quesada, the first lady of the Central American state. Camargo is particularly well-known for its commitment to the decarbonization of Costa Rica.

Career

Claudia Dobles Camargo was born to a Costa Rican father and a Mexican mother. She met her future husband on a ride on the school bus , and they later married. The architect Camargo played a crucial role in the presidential election campaign. In particular, their skills in the areas of urban planning, traffic and mobility were used in the election campaign. After Quesada was elected president, Camargo became First Lady and interprets this role politically. She is said to have a great political influence that far exceeds that of the former First Ladies.

Political commitment

As a First Lady, Camargo is primarily committed to the environment . It participates in the National Decarbonization Plan, coordinating initiatives on green mobility.
