Claudia Schubert (lawyer)

Claudia Schubert (born October 26, 1976 in Suhl ) is a German legal scholar and professor at the University of Hamburg . She is the managing director of the Institute for Labor Law in Berlin and Bochum .

Life

Starting in 1995, Schubert studied law at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena on a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation . In 2000 she passed her first state law examination. From 2003 to 2005 she completed her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court in Berlin , which she completed in 2005 with the second state examination in law. From 2000 to 2003 she was a research assistant at Hartmut Oetker in Jena. Her doctorate took place there in 2003, which was awarded the doctoral prize of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. From 2005 to 2011 she was also a research assistant with Hartmut Oetker at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel . In 2010 her habilitation took place and she received the license to teach civil law, labor law, commercial and corporate law and comparative law. In 2011, Schubert accepted a professorship for civil law and labor law from the Free University of Berlin. From May 2014 she held the chair for civil law, labor law, commercial and corporate law and comparative law at the Ruhr University in Bochum . In October 2018, Schubert became a professor at the chair for civil law, labor law, corporate law and comparative law at the University of Hamburg . During her work in Berlin, Schubert founded the Institute for Labor Law Berlin , which has been called the Institute for Labor Law Berlin and Bochum since she moved to Bochum .
