Claudia Smolik (born February 1, 1967 in Vöcklabruck ) is an Austrian politician ( Greens ). From 2001 to 2010 she was a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council .

Claudia Smolik got involved in student politics during her studies. She was a departmental representative, faculty representative and from 1995 to 1997 chairwoman of the student body at the University of Vienna . From 1998 to 2005 and from 2007 to 2009 she was a member of the provincial board of the Vienna Green. Since 1998 she has also been editor-in-chief of wien.direkt, the newspaper of the Wiener Grünen. She represented the Greens from 2001 to 2010 in the Vienna State Parliament and City Council and was deputy club chairwoman in the Vienna City Hall during the same period. In the 18th legislative period she was a member of the Environment and Education, Youth, Information and Sport committees. Due to the results of the Vienna elections in 2010, she lost her seat on the council and has been Maria Vassilakou's office manager since 2010 .
