Claudia Zinke

Claudia Zinke (born June 19, 1963 in Berlin ) is a former German political officer ( SPD ). From 2009 to 2011 she was State Secretary in the Berlin Senate Department for Education, Science and Research.

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Berlin, Zinke entered the public service of the State of Berlin and studied from 1982 to 1985 at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences for Administration and Justice . From 1996 to 1999 he studied part-time at the Berlin Administrative Academy .

After two years of employment as a government inspector, Zinke started working in the Senate Department for Finance in 1987. In 1992 she moved to the Senate Department for the Interior, and in 1996 to the Senate Department for Science, Research and Culture. From 2002 to 2005, Zinke was the office manager of Finance Senator Thilo Sarrazin . Subsequently, she was responsible for the individual plans science, research and culture (2005–2006) and education, science and research (2006–2009) in the budget department of the financial administration as head of the mirror section.

Zinke volunteered as chairwoman of Sportjugend Berlin.

Since January 5, 2009, she was Eckart Schlemm's successor as State Secretary for Education, Youth and Family in the Senate Department for Education, Science and Research ( Senate Wowereit III ) led by Jürgen Zöllner (SPD ).

In December 2011 she was put into temporary retirement with full pay. His successor was Mark Rackles , who had previously headed the European section in the Berlin Senate Chancellery.
