Mirror presentation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A mirror presentation is a presentation whose area of responsibility corresponds to that of another organization, “mirrors” it.

Mirror presentations as images of departments

Mirror presentations in this sense represent a replica of larger organizational forms within an authority. The German Federal Chancellery and state chancelleries of the federal states have units that "mirror" the areas of responsibility of the ministries in order to have specialist political competence within their own authority and to connect to the departments hold. There are also mirror presentations for ministries at state representations in the federal government and the European Union . The German Federal Ministry of Finance also maintains mirror presentations for all ministries.

Mirror presentations as competing institutions

Mirror presentations in this sense are presentations with the same area of competence, but which are arranged in different higher-level organizations. A unit located in the Ministry of Economic Affairs is a mirror presentation to a unit in the Ministry of the Environment that works in the same subject area.
