Claudio Felici

Claudio Felici (born March 10, 1960 in San Marino ) is a politician from San Marino . He was the country's finance minister from 2012 to 2014.

Felici graduated in mechanical engineering from the University of Bologna in 1986 and then worked as a designer for 10 years. In 1993 he was chairman of the Partito Democratico, 1996 secretary of the Partito Progressista Democratico and 2001 secretary of the Partito dei Democratici.

In 1988 he was elected to the San Marinese parliament, the Consiglio Grande e Generale , for the first time , to which he has belonged without interruption ever since. He was a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe from 1998 to 2000 and again from 2001 to 2002 .

From June to December 2002 and from 2003 to 2006 he was Minister of Industry. In 2008 he became a member of the Health Committee and from December 2012 he headed the Ministry of Finance. Felici announced his resignation as finance minister on October 15, 2014. His successor Gian Carlo Capicchioni was sworn in on October 22, 2014.

Honors

Claudio Felici was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in 2014.
