Claus Fussek (born February 1, 1953 in Bad Tölz ) is a German social worker and book author .

Life

Fussek, who is considered the best-known German nursing critic, criticizes inadequate or even criminal nursing situations, especially in nursing homes and nursing homes . In 2001 he appeared in Geneva before a UN committee for economic, social and cultural rights as a witness to the conditions in German nursing homes. In his main work Im Netz der Pflegemafia , published in 2008, he uses his own archive to describe a large number of human rights violations, mistreatment and deficiencies in the organization of homes. He describes the "care lobby" as an "underestimated power" in social policy and the social market . He is co-founder of the forum for the improvement of the situation of those in need of care e. He lives and works near Munich . Since 1978 he has been working full-time in the Munich outpatient counseling and care service association Integration Promotion, which supports socially disadvantaged people with various services.
