Claus Wichmann

Claus Wichmann (born December 6, 1962 in Heidelberg ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Heidelberg in 1984, Claus Wichmann studied law, sociology and politics at the University of Heidelberg until 1992 . Since 1992 he has been working as an independent consultant for public relations and advertising.

In 1978 Wichmann joined the SPD. Since 1999 he has been a district adviser in the Heidelberg district of Pfaffengrund . In 2001 he was elected to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . There he represented the second mandate of constituency 34 (Heidelberg) for five years . In 2006 he ran again for the state parliament, but was not re-elected. In 2007 Wichmann was deputy district chairman of the SPD Heidelberg. In 2004, 2009 and 2014 he ran for the Heidelberg City Council, but was not elected. In 2010 he applied against Anke Schuster again for the party's candidacy for the state parliament, but was clearly defeated.
