Johann Ignaz Clauseck was a German musician and composer .

Life

Almost nothing is known about its origin. On January 9, 1755, he was accepted into the Mainz court orchestra , where he played the oboe and flute . The Kurmainzische Hof- und Staats-Kalender names him for the last time in 1760. Allegedly he moved away from Mainz because of the death of his three children . He was married to Sabina Mainon.

His best-known work is a trio sonata in G major for two flutes and basso continuo .

  1. Sabina Mainon probably came from the Mainon family in Seligenstadt in Hesse, whose progenitor Franz Mainon is said to come from Italy.
