24.2

Clausius is an impact crater on the western edge of the front of the moon in the plain of Lacus Excellentiae on its western edge. The shape of the crater is irregular and the rim of the crater is only slightly eroded.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the German physicist Rudolf Clausius .
