The company Clemen & Jung OHG, Solingen , Clejuso for short , is a manufacturer of restraint tools such as handcuffs and ankle cuffs .
The company based in Solingen was entered in the commercial register in 1860. In addition to hand and ankle cuffs, edged weapons such as sabers , rapiers , swords and daggers were also made. The plant was destroyed in 1944. After that, only handcuffs and ankle cuffs were produced.
According to Netzpolitik.org, the current German police handcuff is the “Clejuso No. 9 ". According to the manufacturer, it was the first handcuff to meet the technical guidelines for lockable handcuffs.
