Clemente Fracassi

Clemente Fracassi (born March 5, 1917 in Vescovato , † February 2, 1993 in Rome ) was an Italian film producer and director .

Life

Fracassi started in the film business in the late 1930s as assistant director to Mario Camerini and Mario Soldati , after he had already operated the clapperboard and worked as a secretary. After the Second World War he turned mainly to the production of films and was involved in some great successes, such as Fuga in Francia by Soldati, Il mulino del Po by Alberto Lattuada or Totò cerca casa by Steno . He also organized three films by Federico Fellini as executive producer .

Fracassi himself directed four times in the 1950s; In addition to two opera films, the impressive melodrama Sensualità stands out, for which, like his other works, he also wrote the screenplay.
