Chef's Club

The Club des Chefs des Chefs ( CCC ) is an association of chefs from heads of government and heads of state of individual states. It sees itself as the "most exclusive catering association in the world". It was founded as an association under French law in 1977. If a country does not have a head chef for the head of state, the chef of the hotel or establishment in which the official state receptions are held can also be represented. Every year the members meet for a common dinner that takes place in a different country; in 2012 this dinner took place in Berlin.

history

The club was founded in 1977 by the chef Paul Bocuse , in his restaurant Mont d'Or in Collonges-au-Mont-d'Or in France, "the legendary temple of gastronomy". The meeting took place at the instigation of Gilles Bragard, a fashion designer working for the international hotel and catering industry. The first meeting in 1977 met with such a response from the participants that it was agreed to come together for dinner every year.
