The Coerdeplatz is a green area in the Westphalian city of Münster. Already located in the Kreuzviertel , the square is in the northeast of the promenade not far from the Zwinger .

Originally there was the Neubrückentor with a roundabout in front of the Coerdeplatz and, since 1633, an additional ski jump . In the 19th century, the fortifications on Coerdeplatz were razed after the city wall was torn down and converted into a promenade around 1770. After the razing, the area was partly built on with houses and partly converted into a green area.

The city's oldest playground is also located on Coerdeplatz. It was mentioned as exemplary in a specialist publication as early as 1904. In August 2005, a red oak was inaugurated there as the first communal pacifier tree .
