The Cogan House Covered Bridge (also known as Buckhorn Covered Bridge ) is a historic covered wooden bridge near the Cogan House Township in Lycoming County , in the US state of Pennsylvania , in the United States .
The bridge, built in 1877, spans the Larrys Creek River and is one-way passable for cars. The average use per day is around ten vehicles (as of 2008 ).
The bridge is designed using the Burr truss construction technique. Its maximum span is 25 meters, the total length 28.7 meters and the width 14.4 meters. The height of the ceiling made of wood shingles is 2.65 meters. The Buckhorn Bridge was renovated in 1998. According to the National Register of Historic Places , the bridge had particular significance from 1875 to 1899.
The Cogan House Covered Bridge was listed on July 24, 1980 on the National Register of Historic Places with the number 80003567.
