style

Coinside deals with controversial topics such as child abuse , the impending collapse of our environment , ethics of life-prolonging measures, old people's home , dementia , the Pope , witch burning and dealing with death .

Coinside often uses drums . Sometimes the singer wears a mask . According to the EBM scene, clothing is rather black. Coinside uses an old German-looking character as a symbol.

history

Coinside was founded in autumn 1993 by Sven Bussler as an experimental music project and was initially an instrumental project. One work from this period is the demo tape Schlosstanz .

In 1995 Torsten Bessert came across Coinside due to the same musical interests and enriched the band with a voice. The first pieces are characterized by haunting verbal force.

In 1996 and 1997 further works were published on cassettes: Der Primat as well as Yesterday, Today and [K] a Tomorrow !? .

In 1997 Veith Beck joined the band. In the spring of 1999, the first album, Negator, was released, in 2000 " Einst und Heut" followed , and in 2001 there was an artistic break. In 2002 the album Malleus Maleficarum was released - Coinside presented itself here in its characteristic style between driving, danceable electronics and bombastic anthems. In 2003 the album Elf was released in collaboration with the Catwalk Studio .

In 2009 the last Coinside album, Opus Convertere, was released .

In 2015 the complete discography was published as "Gesammelte Werke".
