Colman’s is an English mustard and sauce maker based in Norwich , Norfolk , and one of the world's oldest surviving food manufacturers.

history

Jeremiah Colman founded Colman's of Norwich in south Norwich in 1814. In 1823 the adopted nephew joined the company, which was renamed J. & J. Colman. In 1951, Jeremiah James Colman took over the company and expanded it. In 1909 Colmans had 2,300 workers. In 1995 Colman's was bought by Unilever and integrated into the group. At the beginning of 2018, Unilever announced that it would close its UK site and relocate production.
