Colossal Order is a Finnish video game developer. The company is known for its business simulations sequentially Cities in Motion and the city-building simulation Cities: Skylines . Colossal Order was founded in Tampere in 2009 . Their publisher is Paradox Interactive , which tests, markets, sells and distributes all of the studio's games.

Games

The partnership between Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive proved constructive. Colossal Order has the freedom to develop any game with no limits and publisher schedules.

In contrast to the founders of the company, Colossal Order does not develop mobile games, but PC / console games. Colossal Order games are known for their active modding community. One of the employees works continuously on modding tools.

The company's best-known game is the city building simulation Cities: Skylines , which was published in March 2015. It is similar to the games SimCity and Cities XL . The first expansion, After Dark , which brings a day-night rhythm into play, was released on September 24, 2015. The second expansion, Snowfall , which includes a weather system and winter content, was released on February 18, 2016. The third expansion, called "Natural Disasters", contains natural disasters and some kind of in-game radio and was released on November 29, 2016.
