The Commando Brigade , also known as the 89th Oz Brigade ( Hebrew חטיבת עוזCourage Brigade), is an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) brigade that carries out special operations only. It was founded on December 27, 2015 by the IDF Chief of Staff, Gadi Eizenkot , and is considered Israel's most powerful weapon against terrorism . The brigade consists of three command units - the Maglan unit, the Duvdevan unit and the Egoz unit. It is the 98th Paratroopers - Division assumed. On July 6, 2015, the Chief of Staff appointed Colonel David Zinni to command.

The brigade originally also consisted of a fourth battalion, the now defunct Unit 845 ("Rimon"), a unit specializing in desert warfare, which was integrated into the Maglan unit on June 27, 2018.

The badge chosen for the brigade shows in stylized form the Hebrew letter Kaph (ק), the first letter of the Hebrew word for command (קומנדו), consisting of a knife rising from the sea and a double arrow above it. It symbolizes mobility by air, land and sea.
