The Commonwealth CA-28 Ceres is an agricultural aircraft produced by the Australian manufacturer Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC).

history

With sufficient Wirraway components available after World War II , CAC designed the similar structured agricultural aircraft CA-28 Ceres, which first flew in February 1958. In the version as a spray aircraft, the Ceres was a single-seater, but a rear-facing passenger seat could be installed behind the pilot for the transport of crew members. The fiberglass-coated stainless steel container between the engine and cockpit held 1.13 cubic meters and hand-operated slotted flaps were folded halfway down during spraying. The last of 21 Ceres flew in July 1963; the type was used in Australia and New Zealand.
